The Contract Is Signed for The Delivery of 2 Cadet Training Ships Between Qatar Armed Forces and Anadolu Shipyard during DIMDEX 2018

Qatar Naval Forces have ordered two cadet training ships (CTS) from Turkey. The ships will be constructed in Istanbul by Anadolu Shipyard, the strategical partner of Turkish Defense Industries Presidency (SSM). Anadolu Shipyard, which delivered 8 LCT’s and 2 LST’s with 8 LCVP’s to Turkish Naval Forces before, will build and handover the both ships in 36 months.

Both vessels will be 90-meter long with a displacement of 1,950 tons. They will be constructed with practical and theoretical training facilities for cadets and instructors and feature a helipad for medium-size helicopters. In addition to their training facilities, the ships are also set to be capable of performing offshore patrol duties.
